The 2010 operating budget has received council approval.

The budget includes a municipal levy of 312-million dollars.

Mayor Eddie Francis says it currently has a zero-point-five percent decrease but there are a few adjustments still to be made.

The budget also doesn't include policing but Francis is confident the numbers will fall in line with the current estimates.

The budget does include 760-thousand dollars for Handi Transit, about 43-thousand dollars more than last year and 725-million dollars for the Art Gallery.
