Windsor Minor Hockey is hoping city council will waive the new harmonized sales tax for ice time.

President Dean Lapierre says the new tax will have a major impact on minor hockey.

Lapierre says the association has also forwarded letters to both MPP's Sandra Pupatello and Dwight Duncan asking to eliminate the HST from all youth's sports.

So far Lapierre says there hasn't been a response.
