Amherstburg Police have charged a LaSalle Police constable with assault.

It follows a domestic disturbance early Sunday morning. 42-year old Todd Sloan of LaSalle was arrested, and held in custody until he was released on bail today with conditions not to contact the victim. On the LaSalle Police website Sloan is listed as a constable who works in the forensic identification department.
