Windsor police are investigating a serious allegation concerning a surgeon at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital.

An emergency department physician is accused of entering the ER while he was drunk and making advances on nurses.

A hospital spokesperson says the doctor wasn't working at the time.

He's since agreed to withdraw his privileges and is barred from the Hospital while the complaint is investigated.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is also investigating.
