The Detroit International Bridge Company says it will seek bids within the next two weeks from companies to replace the main deck of the Ambassador Bridge.

The project is expected to begin in May.

The DIBC says bridge customers will see little or no disruption in traffic with work being conducted during off hours.

The company also says it remains fully committed to its proposed Ambassador Bridge Enhancement Project.

The main deck work is expected to take two years to complete.
