Three homeless after house fire in Leamington Fri Sep 3rd, 2010
A house fire on Talbot Street east in Leamington has three people looking for another place to live. The blaze broke out in the second floor of the home at the corner of Talbot and Mersea Road 12 just before six yesterday evening. First round-a-bout in Essex County Fri Sep 3rd, 2010
The first large round-a-bout in Essex County will be opening to traffic today. Its at the intersection of the Albuna Townline and Road 3, where temporary signal lights had originally been installed. The round about is designed to keep traffic moving instead of stopping while waiting for a light. The county says the round-a-bout will be able to handle full-sized tractor trailers, but farmers in the area have raised concerns their large trucks might not be able to make it around the turn... Windsorites have a little longer to park infront of metersFri Sep 3rd, 2010
It's still safe to park in front of an expired meter in Windsor. Since August 10th enforcement officers were instructed not to ticket anyone at an expired meter, untill the city's new parking by-law was signed. The expectation was to have full enforcement back up this week, but the papers are still sitting on a desk in London... Click here for full story
Windsor Humane Society selected by Pepsi Refresh Project Thu Sep 2nd, 2010
The Windsor Essex County Humane Society needs your vote. Their grant application for a $100,000 prize from the Pepsi Refresh Project has been selected as one of the 254 finalists. Executive Director Melanie Coulter says voting runs from September 1st to October 31st. The Humane Society would use the money to continue phase three of their expansion project which includes vet clinic.. Click here for full story
